Default Quick transfercase question - 10-24-2009

do the manual transfercases out of a ranger require any sort of wiring? I'm guessing the only thing i'd need to by-pass would be some sort of neutral safety switch.

Any thoughts on how to bypass such a feature, if it in fact exists.

I'm not 100% sure what year it's out of, but i believe its a newer generation transfercase.

Only if you want your idiot lights to light up. Other than that, no wiring needed(unless you've got an older model that's speed sensor is in the tcase).

If you're an auto, youll still have to put the trans in neutral or park to shift the case. If manual, stick your left foot to the floor and shift it. lol.

well, my truck is an auto, but it has a C4.

I have no idiot lights either lol.

The speed sensor thing is the only thing i'm sketchy about, i have all autometer gauges, and i bought the sensor for an automatic transfercase and it works great. I doubt/hope there are no differences between a manual TC and an automatic with regards to the speed sensor.
